Our first garden.

Agriculture 101
I'm not sure if my lesson on agriculture was completely understood today. It appeared that they understood the process of the seed going into the ground but not entirely sure that they understood that soon we would be able to eat the vegetable that would grow from the plant. Although I do believe that they completely understood how the shovel, rake, and hoe worked.

The beginning of our 2011 Garden: Corn, Tomatoes, Squash, cucumbers and more to come. Did somebody say dirt. What would three 3 year olds enjoy more then dirt? (Getting to play in it!) Oh ya and TRACTORS. What a great afternoon it was!

Ryan was a great helper when it came to planting the corn with mommy. He made sure that only one kernel was placed in every hole and then covered and was able to follow directions very well while planting 4 rows all by himself. Logan and Owen then finished the additional rows with much needed direction.

I would have to say I think the tractor was the most exciting for the boys. They looked so big riding up there with daddy and they even took turns driving.

So cute! LOL... dirt and tractors, a Boy's Heaven! So excited to see their reactions when they get to "reap what they sowed"!
